Personalized Activity Plans
Therapeutic activities are part of each participant’s plan of care. Participants can choose from three different activity tracks based on their interests and skills.
- Royals activities include: book clubs, bridge clubs, art classes, exercise programs, coffee hour, music, shuffle board, sewing, knitting, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, outings, access to the internet, newspapers, cable TV news and weather.
- Regals activities include: baking, painting classes, shuffleboard, indoor golf, exercise classes, dominos, checkers, coffee hour, memory lane, jigsaw puzzles, trivia, music, outings and bingo.
- Nobles activities include: arts and crafts, singing, balloon toss, kick ball, indoor bowling, board games, puzzles, beads, baking, story hours, and videos.
The Castle Center’s registered nurse develops a nursing care plan tailored to each person’s medication, therapy, diet, exercise and activity needs. The plan is developed in conjunction with the participant, his/her physician and family caregivers. Our licensed nurse assistants can help with personal care.
Meals & Snacks
Nutritious lunches as well as morning and afternoon snacks are served in a family style setting. All meals and snacks are provided at no charge through the New Hampshire Department of Education’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Special diet meals are available.
Castle Center fees include all activities, nursing and aide services provided during the course of the day, and all meals and snacks. A sliding fee scale is available. Credit cards, Veterans Administration benefits and Medicaid are also accepted.
Location & Hours
The Castle Center is located at the HCS Keene office at 312 Marlboro Street. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants may attend on a schedule that meets their needs and interests. Transportation is available in Keene.
